Autumn in New...England!
This weather can only mean one thing.
That fall is a comin!
Wahoo. I love fall. The comfortable, yet beautiful, crisp fall air nipping at you just enough to make you feel refreshed every time you step outside into it. The leaves turning. The sight of all the little children waiting for the bus in their now semi-new school clothes. Being able to put on one more layer of clothing, most preferably a big, soft, bulky sweater, to stay toasty warm on the lovely fall nights.
Oh and Halloween. I love Halloween. I love answering the door to see all the little ghouls, witches, monsters, and other what have yous, standing there, their little hands outstretched, and each of them saying in unison...."TRICK OR TREAT!". I also like the parents standing in the background reminding them to "Say THANK YOU!" and then a not so harmonic chorus of "Thank yous" streaming back at you as the youngins' run for the next house with a front light on.
Yup, I love fall. Even if it does mean getting back into the grind of school and papers and work. But, hey...I haven't truley enjoyed a fall in New England, the most spectacular place to be in the fall if I do say so, since my senior year of high school. Which was what? Two years ago?
Holy shit. Its already been two years. But, thats a story for another day.
So, yeah, it'll be nice to enjoy the fall weather of New England. That brief glimmer of beautiful atmosphere and weather before winter weather sets in, that almost makes massive amounts of snow bearable. Almost. Well, unless you're having fun sledding of course, then snow is entirely bearable. ;)
Hmmm...okey. I'm off to shower and do other odds and ends. Maybe I'll watch the additional footage on my Two Towers DVD. Ohhh....that sounds like a plan!
