Just....wow.
Wow. So, I worked today. Which means that for this week I worked the exact same hours I worked over the summer and I'm also going to school now too. Things have been busy, let me tell you.
But, I'm on top of everything. I need to do some more reading tonight just to catch up with some stuff, but other than that I'm doing fairly well. Just need to work on the written projects I have for next week, but that's really no biggie.
Hmmm...so I probably made close to one hundred and fifty dollars this week. Which is really good. I need the money. I didn't even put my paycheck from this week into the bank, which is really bad. But, I figure I can make up for it this week and next, as I'll be working and babysitting. I've got to pay my credit card bill, but my Mom gave me forty bucks that she owed me to do that, so it'll be fine. Plus, I'll put more money on it next week when I get payed.
I just need to build my checking up again as its pretty low. Oy vey. AND I NEED to STOP ordering food at work. I HAVE to bring stuff with me, because I'm wasting ALL of my money on food. Which is really ridiculous as we have perfectly good food here for me to eat.
Aunt Mary, Mom, and I went shopping today too. Well, we went to dinner at Oxfords and were then supposed to go shopping all over but only ended up going to Hallmark and the Gift Gallery due to our excessively full bellies.
They've got Vera Bradleys in Hallmark and I was looking at them because I'd wanted to get a bigger bag to carry all my school stuff in. The one I wanted however was sixty eight dollars and there was no way I was going to purchase it at the moment. I figured I could put aside a little of my paycheck a week to get it eventually as I didn't need it right away. It would just make life somewhat easier and reduce the number of things I have to carry at school.
Anyways, my Aunt was talking to me when I was looking at the bag and I explained how I was going to buy it at some point to use as a book bag. I didn't think much of the conversation, I just put the bag back and continued browsing through Hallmark. So, we're going to leave and my Aunt is showing me some stuff, then she walks buy the Vera bags, pulls the one I was looking at off the shelf, and says "I'm getting you this for all of the help you gave me when I was setting up my rooms.".
I was absolutely floored. I mean, I did help her, but I wanted to do it. She's family, she needed SOMEone there to help her, so I gladly did it. Granted, I was there quite a bit, but its the least I could do for the person who helped me so much with my summer course and continuosly helps me with all my teaching stuff. Honestly, I didn't expect anything in return. I LIKE organizing and decorating. Especially Kindergarten classrooms.
Plus, my Aunt isn't really an extravagent spender. I mean she isn't scrouge or anything, but she doesn't spend tons of money of trivial things like Vera Bradley bags. A fact which only served to heighten my shock at her wanting to purchase a sixty eight dollar bag.
In the end, I tried to refuse. I yelled at her, called her nuts, and tried to put it back, but she refused. She grabbed it and the next thing I knew the girl was ringing the god damned thing into the computer.
So, now I have a brand new Vera Bradley bag in Pink Pansy to carry my books in.
I still can't believe it.
She really is my Crazy Aunt Mary.
