Why?

Depression? Heart break? Immense sandess?

As a Red Sox fan these adjectives only scrap the iceberg of defeated emotions I feel at the horrible loss of the Sox last night to the Yankees.

Good god.

I said I'd cry if we won the Series. Well, I should've mentioned that I'd cry if we lost this game. Cause I did. My eyes welled up and a few tears escaped because I was frustrated and angry.

I know God has little time for such trivial things as Baseball, but why he continuously allows this poor team and its loyal fans to feel defeat and heartache is beyond me. How he consistently ignores our prayers for added strength, commradery, and the ability to overcome for our team is something I won't ever understand.

Is he testing our strength? Our ability to endure? Our faith in our team?

Well, enough already.

We've already proven ourselves over and over again. We Boston fans are committed to this team. We will NEVER loose hope. We will continue to believe that "This is the year." every year. We will fill Fenway Park to capacity every year becasue, above all else, we will endure. And every year we will turn our eyes and hearts to a new season, one that is full of hope and of a longing, fleeting feeling of what could be.

So, why don't you just go ahead and deem us worthy already?

We deserve it more than the Yankees do thats for damned sure.

Oh well...

Next year. Next year.
