The day after the best day EVER!
So. The day after and I still am kind of numb to the whole thing. I woke up this morning, reminding myself that it was not a dream, that the Red Sox, my hometown team, the team I have loved since the day I came into this world, had, in fact, won the World Series.
There is nothing else to be worried about. No more games to potentially lose. No more cursing Billy Buckner or 'wait til next years'. My God...no more complaining about our terrible luck and the god damned 'Curse'. Never again will a Yankees fan, or anyone ele for that matter, be able to throw the word '1918' out there and make Sox fans cringe.
Seriously, what will us Red Sox fans do with ourselves?
You know what, I don't know and I don't care!
The unthinkable has happened, pigs have frown, hell is forzen, etc., etc. I don't even know what in the hell to do with myself, but holy crap I'm going to keep smiling for a loooong time to come. The loyalty and love that Boston fans have for this team, all the emotion, the eighty six year wait, all of it, was rewarded last night.
Its going to be a long time before all of this sinks in. Its the most amazing and euphoric feeling in the world. I was there to see the Sox win it all.
But for the moment, all I can do is go get some more sleep and dream of our magical and astounding victory. I'll probably be smiling the whole time!
Wow. The Boston Red Sox - 2004 World Series Champions. Never will I EVER get sick of saying that.
This is just too much.
PS - I'll see all you crazy people on Saturday at the rally. Look for the crazy girl in her pink Red Sox gear! Wooo!
