Christmas all ready...
I simply can not believe that it is Christmas Eve. The holidays certainly snuck up on me awfully quick this year and I'm sad that I didn't get to enjoy the festive atmosphere as much as I have previously.
I am looking forward to tonight and tomorrow though. I have no idea what I'm getting for gifts so I'm excited to see what Santa brought. Mostly though, I'm excited to see my nephew enjoy the holiday. He knows who Santa is this year and really got into the gift unwrapping at his birthday party, so tomorrow morning should be fun. Hopefully, he'll get all his gifts and be good for an hour or two while the adults open theirs.
He was too funny at his birthday party. He'd gasp and talk about all the toys he got. When he opened my gift, a bunch of mega blocks, who went "*gasp* Blocks!" and did the same for a number of other presents. Clothes were an entirely different story though. He'd look at them and then chuck them over his shoulder a la Ralphie and Randy from A Christmas Story. It made me giggle a bit to see him do it.
Have I mentioned how glad I am that the semester is over. In retrospect I think I was busier than I ever really understood over the course of the past twelve weeks. I really did quite a bit of schoolwork and worked pretty hard. Plus, with all the excitement, both personal, and other (namely the Red Sox) its amazing I managed to stay as focused as I did and do well in all my courses. I've only recieved one grade so far, but things are looking pretty good I think.
All righty, well, I should be off to reaply makeup and get dressed for Christmas Eve with the family. I'm off to my Aunt Mary's and we're going to Midnight Mass at St. Anthony's. It should be nice and I feel like dressing up, so I'm going to!
Warmest wishes for the holiday all, I hope its a good one with lots of yummy food, laughter, and lovins' from family and friends.
