Yay for Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone...
As of this moment, we just finished a simply scrumptious and delectable dinner with fourteen family members, my nephew (who is tired, but high off of the Christmas atmosphere and overstimulated by his gazillion new toys) just left along with my brother and sister in law, and my parents, as well as some other family memembers, are a bit punch drunk off of the Shiraz that we had with dinner. I was drinking the Pinot Grigio and am feeling a bit sleepy at the moment.
I needed a break from all the crazies up there, especially since they are doing dishes. No need to worry though, I already cleared all of the plates and silverware...its now just a matter of getting the leftovers out of the way.
Christmas has been lovely thus far, I must say. Lots of surprises in the presents department which I'll go into some other time. The absolute best part, which I knew it would be, was watching my nephew really enjoy Christmas for the first time. He was so much fun this morning and earlier this evening. All the toys were a bit overwhelming, but he quickly picked his favorites and focused on playing with those. He was so excited to open gifts and be with all of us. He even ended up helping us to open all of our gifts and played Santa by correctly passing out all of the gifts to each family member.
LoL. Christmas through a little one's eyes. It doesn't get much better.
So, here's to a Christmas full of all those happy butterfly feelings you used to get as a child when the prospect of Santa, presents, and holiday fun with the family arose!
Enjoy the night all!
