Poor Chester...
I'm really terrible about updating of late. Though there has not been much of interest to write about lately.
I'm almost done with my one summer course. I decided I needed more of a rest over this portion of the summer, seeing as my semester ended a bit later than expected. I ended up dropping one of the classes I was in because of this. That left me with only the Math Concepts online course to deal with.
What fun its been, let me tell you. Teaching myself math, that is. I was never the strongest math student in high school; though once I hit senior year and college something clicked and I could usually pull out an A. However, that was when I was in a classroom with a teacher I could actually talk to and who'd answer my questions. There are only print lectures that the professor posts once a week and homework to do. Then a test to cover each section.
This hasn't been too bad though. I've been able to figure pretty much everything out, as a lot of it was review for me. However, one would think that a professor teaching an online course would check his e-mail and respond to it at LEAST once a day. The professor for this course, however, does not. Which has frustrated me to no end.
I've had questions about the homework and tests, so I'd send him an e-mail. He wouldn't check his e-mail until the homework and tests were due, twice a week, so by the time I got a response I had already submitted the assigments. Really helpful, right? In addition, he posted a whole unit out of order on the syllabus after everyone had already started the unit that was actually listed. The class then had three days to learn the material for the test he gave so....
Oh my God. The phone rang fifteen minutes ago and it was my Aunt Jeanne from PA. Their dog Chester died. I'm so sad. Poor Chessey. He was a one hundred and forty pound chocolate lab and the best dog. Aunt Jeanne was all upset. I'm sad now too. I'm going to go hug my dog and say a prayer for Chester. :(
I'll finish my Math story some other time.
